GAS / LIQUID SEPARATION

 

“Depth” filter media ideally increase in density from the outer, upstream, side to the inner, downstream side. Materials used are based on 0.3 to 1 μm fibrous mats, or on porous structures made by bonding, or etching.

As a result of the greater resistance to flow posed by such media, “depth” filtration is used to separate all particles whether liquid or solid from gas.
